Usage Examples

Example prompts and tips for using the AirOps MCP server

Once connected, your AI assistant can access your AirOps workspace data through natural language. Below are example prompts showing how tools are used behind the scenes.

Finding Opportunities

Pages Close to Page One

Prompt: "Which of my pages are close to ranking on page 1?"

The agent finds pages ranking between positions 11-20 that could move to page 1 with optimization.

→ Calls: find_opportunity_pages(brand_kit_id, filter: "almost_page_one")
→ Returns: Pages with positions 11-20, sorted by opportunity score

Content Losing Traffic

Prompt: "What content on my /blog/ section is losing traffic?"

The agent checks for declining metrics in your blog content by filtering on folder and sorting by click trend.

→ Calls: list_pages(brand_kit_id, folder: "/blog/", sort_by: "clicks_diff", sort_direction: "asc")
→ Returns: Blog pages sorted by most negative click trend

AI Visibility Declining

Prompt: "Find pages where our AI visibility is dropping but SEO is stable"

The agent identifies content losing AI authority that needs optimization while traditional search performance remains steady.

Analyzing AI Citations

Prompts Citing a Page

Prompt: "What AI questions cite my pricing page?"

The agent finds all tracked prompts where AI providers cite your pricing page.

Full AI Answers

Prompt: "Show me the actual AI answer for that first question"

The agent retrieves the complete AI response text with citation details and sentiment analysis.

Brand Kit & Content

Writing Guidelines

Prompt: "Get my Brand Kit details for the content I'm writing"

The agent pulls your brand voice, tone, writing rules, and style guidelines to help maintain consistency.

Competitors and Product Lines

Prompt: "List my competitors and their product lines"

The agent retrieves competitor data with nested product lines in a single request.

Monitoring AI Prompts

High-Volume Prompts Without Mentions

Prompt: "What high-volume AI prompts don't mention our brand?"

The agent finds popular prompts where your brand isn't being cited, revealing content gaps.

Tips

Be Specific About Scope

Instead of "show me my pages," try "show me pages in /docs/ with more than 100 clicks." Specific filters help the agent return more relevant results.

Chain Requests for Deeper Analysis

Start broad, then drill down. Ask for a list of pages first, then ask about prompts citing a specific page, then request the full AI answers. Each step builds on the previous context.

Use Date Ranges

For trend analysis, specify time periods: "Compare my citation rates from last month to this month" or "Show traffic changes over the last 90 days."

Leverage Opportunity Filters

The find_opportunity_pages tool has built-in filters for common optimization scenarios:

Filter
Use Case

almost_page_one

Quick wins for page 1 rankings

losing_clicks

Content needing refresh

rankings_slipping

Declining positions to address

declining_citations

Losing AEO visibility

citation_rate_decline

AI authority dropping with stable SEO

Combine SEO and AEO Insights

Ask questions that span both traditional search and AI visibility: "Which pages rank well in Google but aren't cited by AI?" This helps identify optimization opportunities across channels.
