# Prompt Coverage

Review how tracked prompts are distributed across topics and intent stages.

Use **Prompt Coverage** to see how your tracked prompts are distributed across topics and stages of intent. The map covers the prompts you already track and is available to all users.

## Review your coverage

1. Open **Insights → Prompts → Prompt Coverage**.
2. Review the number of tracked prompts and topics, along with average prompt volume.
3. Compare the topic rows across **Awareness**, **Consideration**, **Evaluation**, and **Purchase**.
4. Use the **Overall** column to see each topic's total distribution across all intent stages.

AirOps classifies prompt intent automatically. A topic concentrated in evaluation and purchase may have little coverage of the questions buyers ask earlier in their research.

## Understand the intent stages

| Intent stage      | Example question                                                |
| ----------------- | --------------------------------------------------------------- |
| **Awareness** | What is a customer data platform? |
| **Consideration** | How can a customer data platform help a growing ecommerce team? |
| **Evaluation** | How do customer data platforms compare? |
| **Purchase** | Which customer data platform plan should I buy? |

These examples illustrate the stages; AirOps classifies each tracked prompt from its wording and context.

## Use coverage to refine tracking

Review underrepresented stages within the topics that matter to your business. Use [Your prompts](/insights/prompts/your-prompts.md) to manage the tracked set and [Recommended prompts](/insights/prompts/recommended-prompts.md) to find questions to add.

The map describes the distribution of your tracked set. It does not measure the percentage of all possible buyer questions that you cover.

## Querying This Documentation
If you need additional information that is not directly available in this page, you can query the documentation by asking a question.

Perform an HTTP GET request on the following URL with the `ask` and `goal` query parameters:

```
GET https://docs.airops.com/insights/prompts/prompt-coverage.md?ask=<question>&goal=<user_goal>
```

`ask` is the immediate question: it should be specific, self-contained, and written in natural language.
`goal` is what the user is ultimately trying to achieve, the reason they need the answer. Sharing it helps GitBook give you a better, more relevant answer. A goal is most helpful when it describes the outcome the user wants rather than restating the question. For example, with `ask=how do I create an API token`, a goal like `automate deployments from our CI pipeline` lets GitBook tailor the answer to that use case.

The response will contain a direct answer to the question and relevant excerpts and sources from the documentation.

Use this mechanism when the answer is not explicitly present in the current page, you need clarification or additional context, or you want to retrieve related documentation sections.
