# Owned Ads

Manage ChatGPT ad campaigns, ad groups, and ads from AirOps where enabled.

**Owned Ads** brings your connected ChatGPT Ads account into AirOps so you can review its structure, create ads, and manage existing campaigns. Use it alongside [Performance](/insights/ads.md#performance) to evaluate results before making changes.

{% hint style="info" %}
Owned Ads requires separate enablement and a connected ChatGPT Ads account. It is not available to every workspace. Contact your AirOps team about access. If the tab is unavailable, your campaign reporting table remains in **Performance**.
{% endhint %}

## How to Configure

1. [Connect your ChatGPT Ads account](/insights/analytics/settings/chatgpt-ads-manager.md) and attach it to the relevant **Brand Kit**.
2. Open **Insights → Ads → Owned Ads**.
3. Set the reporting date range. Expand a campaign to inspect its ad groups and ads, or change the table grouping to view one level directly.
4. Use filters to find the resources you want to review or change.

## Table and filters

The table combines campaign structure with performance. Depending on the row level, it includes status, objective, budget or bid, scheduling, creative details, and metrics. Ads also show their review status.

Filter by campaign, ad group, ad, state, objective, or landing page. **State** defaults to **Active** and **Inactive**; include **Archived** to find archived resources. Numeric filters let you narrow results using impressions, clicks, spend, and CTR. A landing-page filter keeps matching ads and their parent campaigns and ad groups together.

Resize columns to give longer names, copy, or URLs more room.

An active status describes the resource's lifecycle state. Check delivery metrics and review status to understand whether an ad is receiving impressions.

## Create a campaign

1. Open **Create ad** and choose the campaign option.
2. Enter the campaign details, budget, and any scheduling or targeting settings.
3. Add an ad group after completing the campaign details.
4. Add ads after completing the ad group details.
5. Review the campaign, ad groups, and ads in the final preview before submitting.

Quill opens beside the creation and editing screens so you can work with brand context while preparing the campaign.

### Parameters

| Level        | Settings                                                                                                                       |
| ------------ | ------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------ |
| **Campaign** | Name, objective, daily or lifetime budget, optional start and end dates, locations, excluded locations, and eligible platforms |
| **Ad group** | Parent campaign, name, maximum bid, and context hints |
| **Ad** | Parent ad group, name, title, body, destination URL, and creative image |

The campaign objective is fixed after creation. Leaving the start date empty allows delivery to begin immediately when the campaign is active and eligible. Leaving locations empty does not restrict delivery to a selected country; use explicit locations when you need a geographic limit.

## Manage existing resources

Open the relevant campaign, ad group, or ad to edit its supported settings. You can add ad groups to an existing campaign and ads to an existing ad group without rebuilding the hierarchy.

Use the status controls to activate or pause resources. Review the campaign budget, targeting, creative, and parent statuses before activating. Archive resources when you no longer need them.

{% hint style="warning" %}
Management actions change your connected ChatGPT Ads account. Activating eligible ads can start delivery and spend. Archiving is irreversible; pause a resource if you may want to resume it later.
{% endhint %}

## Inspect an ad

Open an ad to see its creative image, copy, destination, and status alongside performance. The detail panel includes metric cards, trends, country or device breakdowns, and **Share of ad campaign spend** for the selected range. This share uses actual campaign spend, not the campaign's daily budget cap.

## Example

To test new copy within an existing campaign, open its ad group and create a new ad with the revised title, body, image, and destination. Review the creative and activation settings before submitting. After delivery begins and metrics sync, filter **Performance** to the new ad and compare it with the existing ads over the same date range.

## Querying This Documentation
If you need additional information that is not directly available in this page, you can query the documentation by asking a question.

Perform an HTTP GET request on the following URL with the `ask` and `goal` query parameters:

```
GET https://docs.airops.com/insights/ads/owned-ads.md?ask=<question>&goal=<user_goal>
```

`ask` is the immediate question: it should be specific, self-contained, and written in natural language.
`goal` is what the user is ultimately trying to achieve, the reason they need the answer. Sharing it helps GitBook give you a better, more relevant answer. A goal is most helpful when it describes the outcome the user wants rather than restating the question. For example, with `ask=how do I create an API token`, a goal like `automate deployments from our CI pipeline` lets GitBook tailor the answer to that use case.

The response will contain a direct answer to the question and relevant excerpts and sources from the documentation.

Use this mechanism when the answer is not explicitly present in the current page, you need clarification or additional context, or you want to retrieve related documentation sections.
